Documentary Style Photography
We offer relaxed, documentary style event photography services across London and the South East. Whether the party is for your little one’s first birthday, celebrating your recent engagement, or for your parent’s golden wedding anniversary, we know how to perfectly photograph your event to capture genuine moments.
Natural and Unposed
Our natural and unposed event photography style means that you can enjoy the party that you have put so much effort into planning and hosting. You can simply get caught up in the fun of the party and forget we are even there! No posing, no worrying, no herding people to get in front of the camera.
When your children are getting older you often wonder where the time went – it flies by so fast. Birthday parties are major milestones in their and your lives, and no doubt you want to capture it on camera. A professional photographer allows you to switch off the camera phone, enjoy quality fun time with your family, and most importantly be in front of the camera rather than behind it!
Grown Up Birthdays
From nightclubs, to restaurants, to your home – whatever the venue, we will capture your special birthday party in amazing detail. Our photos will show genuine moments between you and those you love to be around, and will be a pleasure to look back on in years to come.
Just like significant birthdays, big wedding anniversaries represent major milestones in our lives. With all of your friends and family celebrating with you, an anniversary celebration can be as large as your wedding day all over again! All of our photographers have experience in capturing weddings, so we are comfortable coordinating a team of multiple photographers across many hours of celebrations.
We are happy to photograph any event, but some which we regularly photograph include:
– Engagement Parties
– Christmas Parties
– Bat/Bar Mitzvahs
Booking one of our event photographers is as easy as 1, 2, 3...
One of the things we think you will love about our documentary photography style is that it allows you to ignore the camera – this makes the photos one less thing for you to think about, and you can focus on partying with guests and having fun. This makes it is as easy as 1, 2, 3 to get stunning photos of your party:
1 – Contact us to arrange a booking
Get in touch with us by filling in our contact form. We will get back to you ASAP and make sure we fully understand your requirements and have all the info we need to confirm the booking. If you are unsure about anything, like how long you need a photographer for, we can give you our professional guidance.
2 – Enjoy your event
On the day of your party, you don’t really need to worry about us. Once we have said hello and confirmed the timings, we will get to work, leaving you to enjoy your party. Our documentary approach means we will move around amongst your guests, blending in and catching lots of candid moments.
3 – Receive great photos
When we have worked our magic and edited your photos, you will receive them in an online gallery. If you’ve never hired a documentary style photographer before, you will be surprised by two things; firstly, how many photos of you there are that you didn’t even notice us taking. Second, how great all the genuine moments look without any posing. Of course, you can share this gallery with your guests, where digital copies can be downloaded for all to keep and post on social.

provided with an accurate up-front price.
Some of the additional services we can provide include:
Extra large parties – we are able to send multiple birthday party photographers to cover your event. If your party is close to 100 guests or more, we recommend considering more than one photographer.
Photo booth – the addition of a photo booth is complementary to our documentary style. Whilst we are capturing candid moments, your guests can get wild in front of the booth cam!
Long-distance travel – if you are outside of London, or your party is going to be at a special destination that is far away, we are happy to travel (including overseas).
Live photo wall – with every guest carrying a camera in their pocket, there are so many pictures snapped that are never even shared! A live photo wall allows guests to upload shots over WiFi or mobile, with a gallery of all images available after the event.
Yes! Home-based events might not have the fancy setting of a luxury venue, but they do have the advantage of everyone being more comfortable – this translates into a very warm and happy atmosphere in the photos, which we think looks great.
This depends on your individual needs. We will discuss this with you in detail when you contact us. For example, if your party is centred around a sit-down meal, we might need to spend less time – but if there are lots of phases to the party, such as entertainment, we might need to spend longer. We will attend any event for a minimum of two hours, up to however long we need to be there for.
Usually we don’t need to as our professional cameras handle low light well, and often don’t want to – it is literally a big flashing light that tells your guests “Hey, I am over here, taking a picture of you!”, and makes everything a little less documentary and a lot more posey. Unless we are approaching cinema-level lighting, we should be good without it. We always come prepared with professional flash equipment should we ever need to use it.
We have the ability to send multiple birthday party photographers and assistants to cover parties that have hundreds of guests. We are yet to find a party that we cannot cover.
